Hidden Gem is building Basel’s first board game café, and they are bringing delicious coffee drinks to BasGame 2026, along with a taste of what Hidden Gem will be all about and some surprises.
Come by for a coffee to keep you energised throughout the event, meet the founders, discover what’s coming, and maybe even grab a mystery package to take home with you.
Eis und Heiss
Handmade Ice Cream Rolls
Rolled ice cream from Basel. At Eis und Heiss every creation is made fresh in front of the guests on a freezing plate, in about two minutes. Ovomaltine, brownie, coconut, or salted pretzel. The ice rolling show is dessert and attraction in one, bookable for parties, corporate events, and festivals.
BasGame Team

Each year, our talented BasGame team members bring unique homemade treats to keep volunteers energized through the long day of board gaming. This year, we decided it’s a crime to hide these delicious snacks backstage. So now you can enjoy what we’re capable of, not just at the game table, but in the kitchen too! From different flavours of cookies to energy-boosting nut bars, our stand will have something tasty for every craving. Plus, we’ll offer refreshing beverages to keep you fueled throughout the event.
Escape Bar
Catering on site
The Escape Bar at Voltaplatz is a bar, board game bar, and event location in one: creative cocktails, craft beer, and more than 100 board games to borrow. At BasGame, we take care of the catering, drinks, snacks, and everything that keeps players going. Run by the team behind Room Escape Basel.
Maus Robotics
Fresh crêpes, made by a robot
Robots playing board games? Maybe another year. Robots making crêpes? Absolutely! Basel-based Maus Robotics is bringing its crêpe-making robot to BasGame, where it will be serving freshly prepared crêpes throughout the day. Choose your crêpe, place your order, and watch the robot do the rest: spreading, cooking and folding it in around 90 seconds. Fresh food and robotics in one delicious little show!
Española
Spanish Tortillas
Homemade, juicy and made with simple, quality ingredients — just like in Spain. Española is bringing authentic Spanish tortilla to BasGame, freshly prepared for you to enjoy during a long day of gaming. Come by, grab a slice and discover what a real tortilla española is supposed to taste like!
