Meet the Designers
One of BasGame's primary goals is to find, invite, and showcase the people and companies behind the creation of great new games that could easily become your favorites.
Throughout the entire event, we will be hosting brilliant game designers and publishers who are eager to share their latest prototypes and upcoming releases with you. This is a unique opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process, provide feedback, and even influence the development of future board games.
We make a special effort to collaborate with Swiss game designers and publishers. Over the years, we’ve had the pleasure of meeting many talented creators, not only from Switzerland but also from around the world. Our hope is that BasGame has become a platform where they can showcase their games and connect with even more board gamers.

Designers at BasGame 2025
Helvetiq
Basel’s very own game publisher, is joining BasGame this year with brand-new games and bestsellers! In addition to Yaxha (build the most beautiful pyramid) and Xok (an abstract game with a shark theme) from their imprint Steffen Spiele, they are also bringing their distribution brands, such as Captain Flip from PlayPunk (Winner Game of the Year 2024) and Orbito from Flexiq, and many more!
Game Design at ZHdK
In Game Design at Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), between 7 and 10 new board games are developed each year. First, rules and concepts are analyzed and the mechanics are questioned. In teams of two, students then develop their own board game, test and refine it, and design a playable prototype.
Treecer
Operating since 2018, Treecer GmbH is active in the diverse field of board games and other print products under the brand “Treeceratops”. Our ambition is to bring products to the market that are creative, unique, and clearly stand out from the rest. To go new ways and to deliver perfect quality is a guiding principle at Treeceratops.
Lamalandstudios
Lamalandstudios is the name of the two game design alumni, Dodo & Mely. They are based in Winterthur and sometimes in the summer at the Töss.
They have been busy producing their first board game "BADGER" for almost a year now. Everything is handmade and made from sustainable materials, of course.
Spielpraxis
We’re two game designers and event creators from Bern, and we’re back at BasGame – this time with HEROPOLIS!

Yurei Games
Yurei Games, an emerging studio from Vevey, is set to launch its debut title via Kickstarter later this year.
YUREI: Ghosts of Enoshima is a captivating and immersive cooperative game that takes you into the mystical world of Enoshima Island. You will have to explore, discover valuable items, and fight against the curses of this haunted island. Every decision matters. Based on simple rules, the game offers strategic depth that will captivate every player.
EVRO
EVRO presents Shit Happens!, a brand new, chaotic cooperative board game at BasGame! Together, you lay a path to the goal - but earthquakes, floods, and other disasters cause real team chaos. The game is full of suspense, surprise, and humor. Shit Happens! can be tested directly on site - because when everything goes wrong, that's when it gets really funny! EVRO will also be showing the new Fortuna prototype for the first time.
