Welcome to the first official Swiss tournament of 7 Wonders!

 

7 Wonders is a highly awarded board game and the very first one in holding the title of Kennerspiel des Jahres (2011).

 

Compete to create the best city and build a wonder that will last forever. Winners will be invited to participate in the German Finale in May 2020.

It doesn't matter if you are a role play veteran or a total rookie. Join the group and play a mystic adept with magical powers in a shattered fantasy world in the age of legends. Experience an introduction into the classic role play Earthdawn with the new story-based system by Vagrant Workshop (in German 120 min.).

Educational games can be at hand with deep immersive board games. Cytosis does exactly this and that's why we will host a tournament! A wonderful worker-placement board game that takes place in the interior of a cell. Work out your proteins using the correct amounts of mRNA and ATP to earn victory points and reach the victory. Call of Cthulhu RPG

Here you can fight the Lovecraftian mythos in a role playing game. In the last glacial period a group of Neanderthals are struggling with strange events happening in their hunting camp. Suitable for beginners and experienced players. Try the 7th edition of Call of Cthulhu from Chaosium. Depending on the players, on English or German.

Helvetiq

Helvetiq, Basel’s very own game publisher, is also coming to this year’s edition of BasGame! Besides some of their bestsellers, they will be showing some brand new games: Omerta (a card game set in the prohibition era), Kawaii (a fast and fun game about ice creams) and Four Senses (a play-in-the-dark experience).

Game Design at ZHdK

In Game Design at Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), between 7 and 10 new board games are developed each year. First, rules and concepts are analyzed and the mechanics are questioned. In teams of two, students then develop their own board game, test and refine it, and design a playable prototype.

Tabletop Heroes

Tabletop Heroes is a new and fresh game forge from Switzerland. It develops board games that are easy to learn and can be played quickly in a group with new players. Tabletop Heroes was founded on the 6th August 2017 by Silvio Berger in Burgdorf BE.

Treecer

Treecer  is a team of three friends who presented their first board game, Darwin's Choice, at BasGame'18. The game was successfully funded on Kickstarter in 2018 and is now available in its final form. This autumn the second Kickstarter campaign will follow with the expansion Darwin's Choice - Befor and After. In addition to the expansion, this campaign also covers an illustrated animal encyclopedia with all the information about the animal species included in the game.

Plan B

The small Basel screen printing workshop Plan B combines high- quality fairtrade bags with great game designs. In addition to classic games, you can also discover self-developed game designs. Your perfect companion throughout the day - always ready to play. Very soon, hand-printed organic shirts will also be part of the assortment, making many retro hearts beat faster.

Dom Atlas

VIAE - Roads of Rome is a strategic area-control board game set during the rise of the Roman Empire. As Tribunes, you conquer the world while deceiving others to gain the upper hand. Created by first-time designer Dom Atlas, VIAE was successfully funded through Kickstarter this year and is set to release this October.

Walls

WALLS packs catapult action, strategy, building and aiming skills, real-life physics and a small portion of luck, together into one box. Matt from Scydes, brings a final stage prototype to BasGame 2019, to expand the fanbase and get closer to mass production. Take your shot to experience this refreshingly different tabletop.

Dreaming Elephant

Dreaming Elephant is a game studio based in Basel, Switzerland. They are a small team of game designers, authors, and otherwise creative minds who develop games, write stories, and also help others refine their creations. At BasGame 2019 they’ll have a few of their board game prototypes ready for playtesting.

Michael Keller

Michael Keller is a passionate board game designer from the valley of Emmental, who prefers to invent medium- to very heavy games. In the last few years, he designed many games, three of which got published. At BasGame he will present and explain his published games, but will also bring some of his newer prototypes, to get them to the table and have a nice bunch of people trying them. We are looking forward to it!

Raphael Bolliger

Knights & Settlers, Shields of Cairnhold is the first board game of Raphael Bolliger, a young designer. This strategy game for 2 to 4 players is suitable for both, new and seasoned boardgamers. It's simple and intuitive, but difficult to master. Its gameplay duration is 120 to 150 minutes and currently is in the test phase. You will have the possibility to try the game at BasGame.

Baloise

Baloise will present their game Sarah's Vision at BasGame. Sarah's Vision is a story-based, cooperative board game of strategy and resource management for 1-4 players. In a world beyond imagination, you work for an Agency and are trying to prevent society from being transported back to the dark ages of the 21st century.

Game Factory
