Rubén Cabezón

Rubén is a Spanish Astrophysicist that re-discovered the world of modern board games just one year before he moved to Basel in 2010. Since then he has been struggling between black holes and Supernovas to find space at home for new games! In 2012, he and his wife founded the Board Game Basel association, because they love playing and wanted to create a community of players that share their passion. He loves many of Stephan Feld's games like Castles of Burgundy, Bora Bora and Trajan, and he cannot say 'no' to a Science Fiction-themed game.

Hirginia Vallejo

As a pianist that loves board games, Hirginia has the luck of enjoying the two meanings of "to play". She has been playing games and RPGs since she was a little girl in Spain, but it was when she moved to Basel that she discovered the world of modern board games. That led her and her husband to found the Board Game Basel association. She loves games that not only have good mechanics, but also a beautiful design, like 'Euphoria', 'Stone Age', and 'Above and Below'.

Harvey Bowen

Board Game Fan. Film Geek. Book Nerd. I have been living in Switzerland since 2009 and in the wonderful city of Basel since 2012. I have been a fan of board games for more years than I care to remember. It is daunting task to pick a favourite game or even a style as there are so many good games to chose from. I am a fan of worker placement type games, "Lords of Waterdeep", "Stone Age" and "Europhia" are high on my list. I also have a soft spot  for the "Ticket to Ride" series and "Pandemic".
